In other November news…
The next generation of gaming is here! Sony and Microsoft have released their newest consoles and they’re already selling out. Sony released the Playstation 5 disc version ($499) and their PS5 digital version ($399). Microsoft released the Xbox Series X ($499) and a lower powered digital console called the Xbox Series S ($299). We’re not here to convince you one way or another. The PS5 and Xbox Series X are incredibly powerful engineering boasting the most powerful gaming technology to date. Technically, the Xbox Series X has more processing power, but you won’t be making a wrong decision with either choice.
Apple hosted their third product launch where they announced their own microchip, the M1. This is their first time not using Intel’s microchips with Mac computers since 2005. Their newest updated OS, Big Sur, available for free, is compatible with both microchips. Along with the M1, they announced a new Macbook Air ($999), new 13 inch Macbook Pro ($1299), and their new Mac Mini desktop ($699).
Tik Tok has yet to be actually banned by the U.S. government. An order previously banning the app, declared a “national security threat,” as of November 12th decision has been thrown out. The government may still pursue this action later on, or may have their hands full and forget about it, only time will tell.
